Absorbine very carefully selects a few organizations and individuals to sponsor, namely those who adhere to the highest standards of horse care and horsemanship, and thus reflect the quality and care we put into all Absorbine products.
Charlotte Dujardin OBE was European Dressage Champion in 2013, and was a double gold medalist at the 2012 Olympics in London. Already the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) top-ranked dressage rider in the world, she took her accomplishments to the World Equestrian Games in Normandy in August 2014 and again won gold. She now holds all three World Records in the sport. Absorbine recognizes Charlotte Dujardin as an ideal ambassador for our world-wide presence and celebrates the opportunity to sponsor her. Says Chris Jacobi, General Manager of the Equine Division at Absorbine, “We are pleased to support Charlotte’s continued success. Even more than her accomplishments, it is her determination, ambition, and unconditional love for a horse that we truly admire.”
Tom McCutcheon is a multi-time national and world reining champion, including earning individual and team gold at the 2010 World Equestrian Games (WEG). Tom and his wife Mandy own and operate one of the world’s premier reining horse breeding and training businesses, located in Aubrey, Texas. In addition to actively competing, Tom has dedicated himself to improving and promoting the sport of reining. He currently serves on the USEF High Performance Committee and the USEF High Performance Eligible Athletes Reining Committee, and is a co-founder of the Legacy Reining Breeders Sale, one of the most highly regarded reining horse sales in the world. Team McCutcheon offers riders an incredible free resource: www.virtualhorsehelp.com. The Absorbine team is very pleased to sponsor Team McCutcheon and help further his endeavors in the exciting world of reining horses!
Ian Millar is an icon in international show jumping. The most decorated equestrian in Canadian history, his record-breaking career has set the bar for its numerous achievements and unparalleled longevity. What Ian is perhaps best known for is his unprecedented Olympic record. As of the 2012 Games in London, he set a new World Record for number of Olympic starts—10 in total. Millar’s world record, pride in his horses, and exceptional sportsmanship are qualities that align with the performance and heritage of Absorbine products, and we are proud to support his efforts.
The Masterson Method
The Masterson Method® Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork® was established by Jim Masterson as a system in which horse owners learn to recognize and use the horse’s response to touch to find and release accumulated tension in key junctions of the body. In contrast to most traditional modalities of massage, it enables the horse to actively participate in the process of releasing tension. Absorbine celebrates our sponsorship of The Masterson Method as an excellent addition to our long tradition of equine wellness. “Jim Masterson and his revolutionary method of equine massage align naturally with Absorbine products and our mission,” says Chris Jacobi, General Manager, Equine Division. “The Masterson Method’s innovative technique, concern for wellness, and celebration of the human – equine bond are qualities that our products can stand by, and we have witnessed the impressive results ourselves.”
Tommie Turvey is a celebrated horse trainer and stunt man. If you’ve seen a horse do something incredible on TV or in a movie, there’s a good chance Tommie got them to do it – right on cue. Tommie also delights crowds in demonstrations with his equine partners. Tommie established Equine Extremist in 1999, with the idea of bringing beautiful horses with inspiring and unique acts to shows around the world. Equine Extremist’s goal is to showcase the horse first and foremost with respect and safety, along with producing inspiring acts that will show off the power and beauty of our partner and friend, the horse. “Tommie’s horses must be in peak condition to perform, and we are pleased to share our products, from joint and muscle care, to grooming, to fly control, with Tommie and his equine partners,” says Chris Jacobi, General Manager, Equine Division.
